8C.6.1 Multiplying Fractions with a Whole Number

There are different ways to think of how to multiply a fraction and a whole number:

1. Use a diagram and model how the fractions fit together
2. Convert the multiplication to repeated addition

  • Modeling Multiplication using a diagram
  • Writing a multiplication as a repeated addition statement
• For each movie, think about what you would say if you were to narrate this video for someone else.  You should write down your ideas on paper or record them to an audio file and be prepared to explain them to someone else next day in class
