Adding Calendar to iPhone

Adding a course calendar to your smart phone requires a little bit of work, but can be done in just a few minutes. The instructions here are for the iPhone or iTouch, but the process should be similar for other smartphones as well.

First,  browse this website to find the google link for the calendar that you wish to subscribe to.  You should copy the entire URL as you are going to paste it back in later.  Make sure that you get the entire URL which begins with "www" and ends with "ics"

Exit to your main screen and locate the Settings Application on your iPhone.

Within Settings, scroll down to find the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" section.

You will need to choose the "Add Account..." option

You should choose "Other" as the account type.

Since we're adding a calendar, skip Mail and Contacts options and choose the "Add Subscribed Calendar" option.

Under server, paste the address of the calendar.

You should now be subscribed to the course calendar of your choice.  You cannot change entries on the calendar, but you can view them.
